Special Issue Introduction
The construction of new type power systems that take renewable energy as the main body is the necessity of power and energy transition and one of the important ways to realize carbon peak and carbon neutrality. Currently, renewable energy has been explosively increasing, and electric vehicles, high energy-intensive loads, and other large-scale flexible resources are rigidly integrated into the system, resulting in prominent conflicts between excess electricity amount and temporal-spatial electrical power imbalance. The conventional power dispatch way, that is, to control the source to follow the change of the load, cannot satisfy the new type power systems. New challenges such as system secure operation, renewable energy accommodation, and precise control strategy emerge, which requires more potential flexibility from all aspects in source-grid-load-storage.
This special issue intends to bring together the state-of-the-art advances of research, review, application, and case study for solving emerging problems in coordination and interaction of source-grid-load-storage for new type power systems. The submissions are encouraged to focus on but are not limited to modeling, planning, operation, control, and marketing of source-grid-load-storage in different scenarios for new type power systems.
A brief list of potential submission topics is as follows:
● Operation characteristics and interaction mechanism of source-grid-load-storage
● Modeling and prediction of the control potential of large-scale flexible resources
● Optimal planning and operation of typical scenarios of new type power systems
● Design, operation, state monitoring, and fault diagnosis of the key equipment of new type power systems
● Marketing mechanism of source-grid-load-storage coordination
