Special Issue Introduction

Smart grids have become a research hotspot within the energy field and play an important role in practical applications. The multi-area and multi-level operation characteristics of the power grid have laid the foundation for inter-network cooperation research. Conversely, network-level cooperation has introduced novel approaches and methods for smart grid scheduling and control, gradually evolving into a significant research direction.

This Special Issue invites researchers in related fields to submit their work, aiming to demonstrate and promote the application of inter-network co-optimization and control in smart grids. We welcome contributions addressing the following perspectives:
1. New algorithms and strategies for cooperative optimization and control of networks;
2. Smart grid cooperative optimization scheduling with multiple time scales;
3. Smart gird cooperative control for enhancing network stability and resilience;
4. Collaborative optimization and control of power grids in market environments;
5. Challenges such as information security and privacy protection in smart grids.

We welcome articles in various forms, including academic research papers, technology development overviews, practical case studies, and innovative application examples. Additionally, we encourage contributors to introduce challenges and opportunities from different perspectives, promote new concepts, explore future research directions, and more. We eagerly await the submission of exciting contributions from our colleagues!
